Regional Sales Manager (Buffalo/WNY Region) (Finance)



Job Description:

Based on the territory associated with this role, candidates must reside in our Western NY service area (consisting of Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Niagara, Orleans and Wyoming counties)

Summary:

The Regional Manager oversees a team of Sales Consultants responsible for attaining sales objectives

for a specified geographic area. The incumbent is accountable for the growth and retention of the entire portfolio of accounts within the assigned region which may include their own book of business and sales goal.

Essential Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• Responsible for driving the sale team's performance and meeting/exceeding Medical, LBS, and ancillary product regional targets. Provides leadership to maximize performance.

• Develops and implements sales strategies to achieve sales growth. Creates market specific sales and retention forecasts for all medical lines of business.

• Works with sales team, senior leadership, Rating/Underwriting, and other departments to develop renewal strategies and long-term retention programs for employer groups.

• Leads designated inter-company strategic projects and initiatives (i.e.: Stepwise, ancillary products, LBS products).

• Manages the recruiting, objectives setting, coaching, and performance monitoring of sales consultants for assigned region. Assesses the strengths and weaknesses of the sales team and manages the sales program accordingly.

• Pursues opportunities for business development pertaining to sales of all ancillary lines and sister companies.

• Develops and strengthens broker and consultant relationships within assigned markets.

• Maintains awareness of competitors and new products in group marketplace and recommends appropriate response including product development.

• Consistently demonstrates high standards of integrity by supporting the Lifetime Healthcare Companies' mission and values, adhering to the Corporate Code of Conduct, and leading to the Lifetime Way values and beliefs.

• Maintains high regard for member privacy in accordance with the corporate privacy policies and procedures.

• Maintains knowledge of all relevant legislative and regulatory mandates and ensures that all activities are compliant with these requirements.

• Conducts periodic staff meetings to include timely distribution and education related to departmental and Ethics/Compliance information.

• Regular and reliable attendance is expected and required.

• Performs other functions as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ten or more years' sales/health insurance experience or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field with five or more years of sales/health insurance experience.

• Valid NYS Life, Accident and Health License within six months of employment required. Employees without a license are not eligible for any sales incentive awards or contests. Any sales made while not licensed are not eligible for incentive compensation.

• Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.

• Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills.

• Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.

• Strong analytical skills and financial aptitude.

• Demonstrated ability to build and nurture customer relationships.

Physical Requirements:

• This position requires daily local travel and occasional overnight travel.

• Ability to work prolonged periods sitting and/or standing at a workstation and working on a computer.

Compensation Range(s):

Minimum: $87,766 - Maximum: $157,978

The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the salary range for this position. Actual salary will vary depending on factors including, but not limited to, budget available, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position's minimum qualifications, in addition to internal equity. The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package. Other components of the total rewards package may include participation in group health and/or dental insurance, retirement plan, wellness program, paid time away from work, and paid holidays.
