Material Analyst (Engineering)



St. Joseph MO Distribution Facility

What you will do

Responsible for maintaining inventory of production components and analyzing results. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ordering components to maintain inventory levels.

  • Following up and expediting orders for timely delivery.

  • Coordinating with receiving to ensure proper material receipt and scheduling inbound loads.

  • Making daily entries of production and inventory data into the Inventory Management System.

  • Verifying accuracy of production reports with supervisors.

  • Preparing production reports and assisting with month-end inventories.

  • Processing MDRs and managing obsolescence through phase-out coordination.

  • Maintaining Bill of Materials with current requirements.

  • Handling process changes and distributing updates to plant personnel.

  • Conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with quality and process specifications.

  • Cross-training within the department to support Production Control team members.

  • Performing other duties as assigned.

How you will do it

  • Use Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and Outlook to manage and report inventory data.

  • Collaborate with production and receiving teams to ensure smooth material flow.

  • Apply Lean principles (certification required within one year).

  • Maintain organized records and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

  • Communicate effectively across departments and document processes clearly.

What we look for

Required

  • Minimum 1 year experience in a computer-oriented environment.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong business writing skills.

  • Highly organized and deadline-driven with prioritization skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and Outlook.

  • Self-directed and able to meet position requirements.

Preferred

  • Prior inventory or material analyst experience.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with increasing responsibilities.

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree.

What we do here

The Clarios St. Joseph MO Distribution Facility is one of the 17 plants of the company around the US. It is located about 45 minutes north of North Kansas City MO and 15 minutes south of downtown St. Joseph. This plant is the last stage of Lead-Acid battery manufacturing before they are being shift to different costumers. Equipment is predominantly electrical/voltage testing equipment, acid blending systems, deco labeling system, conveyors and packaging systems including Robots. Company provided PPE that are being used are safety glass, steel toe, and company provided uniforms.
