Honors College AV/IT Project Coord II (Finance)



The Judy Genshaft Honors College AV/ IT Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting and maintaining audiovisual (AV) and information technology (IT) systems to ensure the seamless operation of daily business functions, meetings, events, and presentations. This role provides hands-on technical support, manages AV setups for events, oversees software development projects, and supervises a small team of student software developers.

Position Overview:

As the AV Project Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and maintaining our AV and IT systems. You will provide hands-on technical support, manage AV setups for a variety of college events, oversee innovative software development projects, and lead a small team of student developers. This position combines technical mastery with leadership and problem-solving, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vibrant academic community.

This position is on campus/in-person.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Media Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting AV systems and managing IT infrastructure

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supervising or mentoring students or junior staff members
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and proficiency with AV equipment and IT systems
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and meet deadlines
  • Experience training users with varying levels of technical expertise

FLSB1310 Equivalency:
4 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree.

Audiovisual (AV) Support:

  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot AV equipment such as microphones, projectors, speakers, and video conferencing tools for meetings and events
  • Provide on-site support and training to staff, faculty, and event organizers
  • Maintain AV equipment inventory, perform routine maintenance, and optimize setup processes
  • Collaborate with event planners to determine AV requirements and deliver exceptional service

Information Technology (IT) Management:
  • Lead all college software development projects, including deployment, troubleshooting, and user support for web applications and servers
  • Supervise and mentor the student software development team, fostering growth and technical excellence
  • Assist with daily IT operations including hardware and software setup, troubleshooting, and user assistance
  • Maintain network infrastructure, manage IT inventories, and coordinate with vendors for repairs and equipment procurement
  • Perform system maintenance, updates, backups, and documentation to ensure optimal performance and security
