Quality Technician (Biotech)



  • Incoming inspection of Raw Material (IV, Melt flow)
  • Incoming inspection of Raw Material (Bulk Density, Burn Test, Moisture) as required
  • Complete Daily startup checks, (control IV, Humidity, - report out of control conditions and record findings
  • Complete weekly IV setup check list and record results
  • Record properly, all test information on spreadsheets provided or paper forms
  • Notify management of any Out of Spec or unusual conditions
  • Perform and Maintain Calibration of all lab equipment
  • Preparation of all COA's that are required
  • Maintain and store all Provider COA's including review, sign off and notifying Quality/Production/Purchasing of results that do not meet specification
  • Review of all quality and production daily paperwork – notify management of any issues
  • Maintain copies of all current paper forms required for production
  • Maintain all quality records located in the quality department – ensuring records are in order filed properly and rotated out for the next year
  • Stock and inventory of all labels and ribbons and advise when to order
  • Maintain the Weber Printers – weekly cleaning and upkeep
  • Any additional testing/duties at managements request
  • Keep work area clean which includes office space, floor and testing machines

Education and Certifications

  • High School graduate or GED required
  • 2-3 years of quality experience required 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, ability to create spreadsheets, evaluation reports understanding of SPC
  • Ability to read and use a wide range of measurement equipment such as indicators, calipers, ruler, break tester, color tester, slip tester and any seal machines

Qualifications

  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. periodically
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time 
  • Ability to use both arms and hands
  • Ability to bend and stoop frequently
  • Primary – Quality Department but frequently exposed to light manufacturing conditions and extreme temperature

Work experience in related industry is an asset but even if you do not have this, we still want you to apply. On the job training will be provided.
