Senior Advanced Software Architect (Finance)
As a Senior Advanced Software Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be at the forefront of developing innovative software solutions that enhance operational efficiency and safety in the process industry. You will leverage your expertise in software engineering to design, develop, and implement advanced applications that meet the needs of our customers. You will report directly to our Director of Engineering and you'll work out of our Fort Mill, SC location on a Hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will impact the overall performance and reliability of our software systems, contributing to the success of our projects and ensuring that we deliver high-quality solutions that exceed customer expectations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design and develop advanced software applications for process industry operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and ensure alignment with operational objectives.
- Design and architect secure, scalable Azure cloud environments customized to business requirements
- Develop strategies for integrating generative AI technologies within Azure ecosystems
- Lead technical implementation of AI/ML models on Azure's AI services, including Azure OpenAI Service and AI Foundry
- Architect integration of Gen AI models such as Google Gemini not available on Azure
- Design micro services architectures with appropriate networking, security, and scaling configurations
- Set up and optimize Azure Databricks environments for large-scale data processing and ML workloads
- Implement and manage Azure API Management for API governance, security, and developer portals
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams on cloud best practices
- Create architectural documents, diagrams, and implementation plans
- Optimize cloud resource utilization, performance, and cost
- Establish governance frameworks and security protocols for cloud and AI solutions
- Partner with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives
- Stay current with evolving Azure services and generative AI advancements
- Implement best practices in software development, including coding standards, testing, and documentation.
