Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Linen Distribution Technician to join our off-site team at Northside Forsyth Hospital. This position is ideal for someone who is proactive, communicative, and thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Transport clean linen in covered carts to designated hospital departments.
Collect and transport soiled linen in covered carts to designated processing areas.
Verify and document linen quantities during delivery and pickup.
Conduct routine linen inventory checks as required.
Address and resolve client concerns professionally and promptly.
Communicate linen quality or service issues to supervisors effectively.
Build strong customer relationships through reliable service and support.
Maintain department cleanliness and comply with all safety protocols.
Follow institutional procedures and Joint Commission standards.
Operate equipment and assist in departmental operations as needed.
Perform general administrative duties such as answering phones and basic typing.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
1–2 years of experience in healthcare, manufacturing, or a similar environment preferred.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Comfortable with fast-paced physical work and repetitive tasks.
Basic computer skills with willingness to learn new systems.
Must be open to working nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Positive attitude and open to constructive feedback.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs. throughout the shift.
Push or pull linen carts weighing up to 250 lbs.
Move and stack linen items into carts.
Physically capable of meeting demands for the entire 10-hour shift.
