The successful candidate will take part in a program designed to provide an overview of the Finance function through a combination of project work in multiple Finance areas, along with the ability to job shadow in other areas of interest. You will also participate with Interns from across the company in organized activities which provide networking and learning opportunities. Responsibilities:As a Member of Johnsonville's Finance Team, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in at least one of the following areas:
Commercial Finance - U.S.
Commercial Finance - International
Cost & Operations Finance
Compliance/General Accounting
FP&A (Financial Planning and Analytics)
Continuous Improvement (Finance focus)
The internship responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
Perform month end close, forecasting and / or financial reporting responsibilities
Conduct analysis to turn data into insights
Participate in process improvement projects
Prepare and deliver presentations in front of your colleagues
Collaborate with other members of Finance Team as well as relevant business partners outside of Finance
Work closely with your assigned coach that will mentor you and help you further enhance your internship experiences
Education:
Candidate must currently be working towards a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited university; completed junior year at the time of internship preferred
3.5 minimum GPA strongly preferred
Experience:
Some prior work experience preferred
Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Skills and Competencies:
Desire to learn, grow and contribute in a team-based environment
Quick learner with the ability to work independently and take an initiative
Be able to handle working on multiple projects concurrently
Must possess a drive for excellence
Strong verbal and written communication skills
