Position Overview
The Information Security Engineer – Data Analytics plays a key role in enabling data-driven security decisions across the enterprise. Reporting to the VP of Information Security and collaborating closely with a Senior Engineer, this position focuses on leveraging Business Intelligence (BI) and Machine Learning (ML) to support high-impact initiatives. The engineer will extract and analyze large datasets from multiple sources to create predictive models, automate insights, and build interactive dashboards using tools such as Python and Splunk. This highly visible role provides exposure to various areas within Information Security, including Identity & Access Management, Fraud, and Risk, and empowers strategic planning through advanced analytics, process optimization, and clear data storytelling.
What You'll Do
Organizing and transforming information into comprehensible structures
Using data to predict trends and create machine learning models that support proactive decision-making
Using tools and techniques to visualize data in easy-to-understand formats, such as diagrams and graphs
Collaborating with internal teams to ensure quality data is integrated into platforms such as SIEM
Providing documentation and technical specifications to SOC for planning and implementing new systems or upgrades
Creating technical documentation, manuals, and policies for ongoing reference and compliance
Performing advanced data analysis and creating reports to identify and address data-related issues
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Security, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline
3+ years of hands-on experience in data analytics, with proven ability to work with large datasets
3+ years of experience using Power BI or Python for reporting, analysis, or dashboard development
2+ years of experience writing and optimizing SQL queries
Practical experience applying ML techniques to develop predictive models

Compensation
The estimated salary range for this role is $85,000.00 - $110,000.00, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate's qualifications, skills and experience.
