JOB SUMMARY
The Level 3 Trainee position was created to ensure the availability of trained personnel for the primary Level 3 position if needed. In the event of a Level 3 departure, the Level 3 Trainee must be positioned to assume the primary Level 3 position. The position will encompass both visual inspection and fluorescent penetrant.
The Level 3 Trainee will split their time between assisting the Level 3 in the assigned duties of audits, technique creation and other technical functions listed below, and the remaining time will be spent performing their production function. After hire, a training plan will be developed to bridge the gap to achieve Secondary Level 3 certification. This plan will also specify how the time will be split up between Level 3 tasks versus production. After training is complete, the Secondary Level 3 is required to complete certification requirements in accordance with industry, customer, and corporate standards as well as pass company and customer Level 3 examinations. After certification, the Secondary Level 3 will continue to perform in dual functions (Level 3 tasks and production), continuing to gain experience by working with the primary level 3 as part of succession planning.
This position will be expected to work overtime as required to ensure customer and production requirements are met.
