This position is responsible for the financial aspects of the Commuter Rail concession agreement, with Commuter Rail operations/maintenance and capital budgets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Completes monthly and annual financial reports, account reconciliations, tracks concession agreement by funding source and tracks cost-sharing responsibility.
  • Ensures accurate recording of revenues, expenses, assets and liabilities in conformance with the concession agreement terms and the organization's accounting policies and procedures.
  • Prepares and reports financial data and analyses in support of the organization's requirements and federal or other reporting requirements.
  • Aids the Rail Operations department, Sr. Budget Analyst, Rail and the finance department on an as needed basis.
  • Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor degree in Business with emphasis in accounting or public administration.
  • A minimum of four years of experience in technical accounting and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in legal and procedural accounting. Proficiency in reporting and funding requirements of local, state, and federal agencies preferred.
  • Proficiency in current General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proficiency in internal control procedures.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to research, analyze and reconcile financial data.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through verbal and writing means.
  • Ability to use sound judgment.
  • Ability to manage time and workload effectively which includes planning, organizing, and prioritizing with attention to details.

  • An equivalent combination of education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.

REPORTS TO: This position will report directly to the Senior Manager, Commuter Rail Contract Services.

Pay Range:

$84,407.00 - $119,224.25 Annual
