Regional Sales Manager (Finance)



POSITION SUMMARY: The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for handling the assigned markets, to develop sales strategies that generate revenue. The Regional Sales Manager will lead and develop overall strategy and revenue generation for the markets through generating additional business with existing accounts and well as new business acquisition.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Sells products by maintaining and expanding customer base.
  • Achieves regional sales operational objectives by contributing regional sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
  • Prepares and completes action plans and implements KPI metrics
  • Resolves problems, completes audits, identifies trends, determines regional sales system improvements, and implements change when necessary.
  • Meets regional sales objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
  • Establishes sales objectives by creating a sales plan and quota for defined territory and in support of national objectives.
  • Maintains and expands customer base by counseling Manufacturer's Sales Representatives, building and maintaining rapport with key Contractors customers, and identifying new End-User customer opportunities.
  • Recommends product lines by identifying new market and product opportunities and service requirement changes. Surveys customer needs and trends, and also tracks competitors.

  • Performs other duties/ projects as assigned or as required by the position.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS/REPORTING: Works with outside manufacturers sales representatives, outside sales personnel and inside sales personnel. Director of District Energy

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in business or related field a plus

EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous sales and management experience
  • Experience using sales tracking software

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES: Manufacturers Sales Representatives.

TRAVEL: 25%-35% of the time required.

EQUIPMENT TO BE USED: Must be able to operate computer, phone and other office equipment as the job requires.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS : Able to sit for long periods of time, with good hand / finger dexterity for typing / data entry. Must be able to frequently lift and/or move items over 25 pounds. Occasional visits to construction / job sites will be required. Adequate mobility and the ability to spend several hours in external conditions is necessary. Requires normal range of hearing and vision.

MENTAL DEMANDS: Must handle diverse work problems on a daily basis. Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict and make effective decisions under pressure. Must relate and interact with people at all levels in the Company.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Works in a typical office setting. Able to sit for long periods of time, with good hand/finger dexterity for typing/data entry. Must be able to frequently lift and/or move items over 25 pounds. Occasional visits to construction/job sites will be required. Adequate mobility and the ability to spend several hours in external conditions is necessary. This position will require working of additional hours on an as needed basis.
