Principle Program Manager (Project Management)
How will you make an impact?
The Principal Program Manager is a senior position responsible for running large complex Data and AI related programs, including multiple projects under the program, to speed up Jabil's Data and AI adoption and maximize the business values.
Ensures that all programs/projects follow standard procedures and governance used in the management and deployment of programs.
Works closely with business leaders to align their data and AI projects with business objectives, ensuring that data-driven insights and AI technologies are leveraged to achieve strategic goals. Contributes to and demonstrates a solid understanding of program vision and roadmap.
Maintain awareness of cross product/program synergies and actively communicates opportunities to simplify or better align work across teams.
What will you do?
Work with Business, IT leaders, as well as vendors to develop project and program resourcing strategies to ensure optimum support for projects and for the day-to-day operational activities.
Responsible for program planning and scheduling, including the timing and resources required to deliver upon key milestones/deliverables and the implications from key interdependencies.
Demonstrate the most effective execution of projects within the division.
Establish and implement metrics that measure project performance. Ensure accurate status reporting of all projects and programs.
Maintain grade and quality of milestones and deliverables within defined and agreed upon program requirements.
Implement engagement model with key stakeholders to manage expectations, drive decision making, resolve issues, and course correction (as necessary) to meet program goals.
Demonstrate a commitment to customer service. Anticipates, meets, and exceeds expectations by solving problems quickly and effectively, making stakeholder issues a priority.
Manage dependencies across programs within the portfolio and with other portfolios.
Identify program impediments and guide proper escalation to individuals/groups as needed.
Work within the defined standards and procedures as set out by Jabil IT to successfully deliver the projects.
May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
How will you get here?
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree required; degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business discipline preferred.
Minimum 12 years of experience actively leading multiple IT projects of large size and/or scope with at least 5 years of demonstrated experience managing a program/portfolio with business and vendor partnering
Proven ability to develop effective, matrixed, cross-organization programs and best practices, collaborating and communicating across business and technology stakeholders and multiple geographies.
Strong ability to manage multiple projects, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and switch between tasks quickly.
Strong interpersonal and influence skills to cultivate relationships, facilitate negotiations, and build partnerships with key stakeholders at all levels.
PMI's Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification or equivalent is highly preferred. Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
Ability to develop and understand program vision strategy and roadmap.
AI or Data Scientist experience and manufacturing experience preferred.
