Sr Program Specialist (Finance)



Come join our Honeywell Intelligrated team as a Sr. Program Specialist. You will be responsible for planning and executing a variety of material handling projects (case conveyor, sorters, palletizers, etc.) simultaneously. You will be expected to deliver on key metrics including: zero safety incidents, accurate cost forecasting, schedule and milestone management and customer experience. Work with a team of six project management peers with 77 years of combined experience, you'll be paired up with a mentor and lead by a program manager whose coaching leadership style supports the growth of each team member.

The Manufacturing program that you will be joining, strives for operational excellence through standardization of processes, and participates in additional strategic initiatives within the organization like the Project Management Power Hour and Sounding Board. You will be asked to be an active member of the greater PM community, combing your strengths with those of your peers.

Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams (engineering, sourcing, installation, field engineering, etc.) to ensure project success, as the project manager is the general manager of their projects and accountable for the results.

This role requires travel when required by the project and is to be expected during the project execution phase of projects. Travel is often less than two weeks at a time and more frequently occurs in the first ten months of the year.

In this role, you will impact on the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our operations by implementing best practices, optimizing processes, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, under budget, of quality, with a happy end customer.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the planning and execution of multiple Tier 3-5 projects ($.5-5M), ensuring alignment with strategic goals: on time, on budget, of quality and with an excellent customer experience.
  • Lead matrix project teams including external vendors and customers. Responsible for the removal of roadblocks and for consistent internal & external communication. Hold others accountable using project management tools like an Action Register or organized documentation.
  • Monitor project performance and metrics including CAT milestones, Billings, projects costs, etc. Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
