Goalkeeping Coach, Boys Soccer (Creative Design)



Position Summary:  The Goalkeeping Coach, Boys Soccer are responsible for all aspects of training and coaching Student Athletes.  

Position Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and implements a Soccer training program for all Student Athletes 
  • Lead Professional Goalkeeping Development Program for all other coaches 
  • College Placement Liaison for assigned team and assist the Director of Goalkeeping in all Goalkeepers college placement  
  • Implementation of Goalkeeping clinics domestically and Internationally as assigned by Director 
  • Assess the performance and skill development of each Student Athlete and partners with the appropriate department, including Academics and APD,  for their continued development 
  • Help with the psychological preparation of the Student Athlete in both pre-match and post-match 
  • Develop motivational approach to practice and matches  
  • Work to develop comprehensive knowledge of Soccer in decision-making, handling authority and setting and meeting objectives 
  • Interacts with the Student Athlete as an educator of the sport and mentor 
  • Partners with the Student Athlete's parent/guardian regarding their overall development. 
  • Skilled and proficient in all training techniques  
  • Effectively communicates to Student Athletes 
  • Assures proper safety is maintained  
  • Assists in college placement of the Student Athlete 
  • Travel to tournaments as needed 
  • Assists in the recruiting of prospective Student Athletes  
  • Adhering to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes
  • Other duties as assigned  

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Experience coaching at the college and/or club level  
  • Bachelor's degree in physical education, sports management, business administration or a similar sports or business related field or the equivalent 
  • “A” License 
  • Skills in training and instructing Soccer 
  • Strong commitment to Student Athletes 
  • Desire to work collaboratively with colleagues  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills  

Preferred Skills:

  • Bilingual 
  • CPR Certification 
  • Valid driver's license with ability to drive for tournaments, games, travel 

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40lbs.  
  • Should be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time. 
  • Must be able to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields, etc. 
  • Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays is required
