About the Role

The Providencia Group is searching for a Lead Trainer to enhance the skill development of a diverse workforce supporting a specific contract.  This position will oversee all training for staff, ensure contract training requirements for staff are completed, evaluate training for efficacy and will adjust training methodologies and materials as needed to improve the understanding of information by staff.  In addition, the Lead Trainer will be positioned to meet new needs, working with subject matter experts and outside resources to develop training material, job aides and curriculums. Trainers then deliver courses and materials to all levels of staff and provide feedback to the training participants.

The Lead Trainer will collaborate across the organization to deliver training and technical assistance to a centralized workforce.  The Lead Trainer must act as an ongoing resource to staff to continually build and improve skills that enhance service delivery. Training is delivered primarily through virtual and hybrid sessions. It is essential to have the skills to deliver high quality training in a fast-paced work environment.

What You'll Do

  • Lead individual or group instruction of adult learners for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Facilitate training sessions and activities through Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) as well as in-person training facilitation.
  • Update training material(s), working with instructional design and project management staff.
  • Assist with creating content, collecting data, and evaluating training effectiveness.
  • Support training scheduling, tracking, and records maintenance.
  • Provide voice recordings for on-demand course creation.
  • Travel to training sites for in-person delivery, if requested.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

  • Master's degree in organizational development, human resources, leadership development, education, or related field.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in case management, mental health, or medical services, particularly with vulnerable populations and experience in developing and overseeing staff training programs.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in developing and overseeing staff training programs in case management, mental health, or medical services, particularly with vulnerable populations.
  • Outstanding presentation skills.
  • Strong skills using technology to create and deliver training, including facilitating activities, discussions and managing submission/evaluation of written assignments.
  • Strong speaking skills in English, including fluency, accuracy, and pronunciation.
  • Strong writing skills in English, including spelling, grammar, and editing.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish or other language proficiencies are also desired (preferred).
  • Must possess strong computer skills in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Teams.
  • Ability to type 55 wpm.

This is an onsite opportunity in El Paso, TX (ZIP code 79902).

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position that typically works business hours Monday through Friday. Hours may vary depending on needs and may at times include travel, evenings, or weekends to meet specific project requirements or time zones.

Physical Demands

  • Standing/Walking/Mobility: Must have mobility to attend meetings with other managers and employees.
  • Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: 10% of the time.
  • Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: 10% of the time.
  • Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: Must be able to write, type and use a telephone system 100% of the time.
  • Sitting: Sitting for prolonged and extended periods of time.
