Sr Advanced Cyber Security Architect/Engineer (Finance)



In October, 2024 Honeywell announced the spin-off of our Advanced Materials business to become a stand-alone publicly traded company, independent of Honeywell. Our intention is that this role, dedicated to the Advanced Materials business, will be a part of this future transaction when the separation occurs. This position is intended to convey to the new, independent company, to be named Solstice Advanced Materials when the separation occurs. This is expected to occur in late 2025 or early 2026.

As a Sr. Network Security Engineer, you will focus on handling the daily operations of all services relating to perimeter security, and all interdependent infrastructure within all global data centers and cloud subscriptions (firewall and proxy services). This position will function as a technical resource to assist in proactive problem identification and solution proposal and will also handle service requests from customers. You will report directly to our Sr Director, Cyber Security and will work remotely.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, deploy, and manage enterprise-grade firewalls, proxies and zero trust software
  • Develop and maintain firewall rules, NAT policies, and security zones to support business and security requirements
  • Perform regular firewall audits, rule base reviews, and policy optimization
  • Collaborate with customers, IT and security teams to implement secure network architectures
  • Document firewall configurations, change management processes, and network diagrams
  • Ability to work flexible hours including on-call rotation

The salary range for this position is $158,000 - $197,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or other IT/technical degree
  • 4+ experience with at least one major firewall platform (e.g., Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Cisco ASA/Firepower, Checkpoint)
  • Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, HTTP/S)
  • Familiarity with firewall management tools and centralized logging/SIEM integration
  • Experience with enterprise public cloud platforms (Azure / AWS), including cloud-native firewall services
  • Familiarity with Zscaler and/or Zero-Trust solutions

  • Leading the design and implementation of cyber security solutions to protect critical systems and data
  • Conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address security vulnerabilities
  • Developing and implementing security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate security controls into new and existing systems
  • Providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders on cyber security best practices and incident response procedures
