Job Title: Operations Manager - Commercial Sales

Location: Dallas, TX

Job Overview:

The Global Operations Manager for Commercial Sales is tasked with overseeing the daily operations of the Commercial Sales Team, including pricing strategies, shipment tracking, and the maintenance of the Transportation Management System (TMS). This role is critical in ensuring that the Operations Team meets customer Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) while effectively collaborating with customers and Sales Representatives to enhance service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily Operations Management:
    • Supervise daily operational activities, including pricing strategies, shipment tracking, and timely updates to the TMS.
    • Ensure the seamless operation of all processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • KPI Monitoring:
    • Monitor and assess the performance of the Operations Team against established customer KPIs.
    • Implement corrective actions as necessary to achieve or surpass performance targets for customers.
  • Customer Interaction:
    • Assist in the preparation for Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), providing relevant insights and data to support discussions with customers.
    • Collaborate with Sales Representatives to identify customer needs and address any operational challenges.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor the Operations team, cultivating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
    • Conduct regular training sessions to enhance team performance and operational knowledge.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify and implement opportunities for process optimization within the operational framework.
    • Establish and promote best practices to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Reporting:
    • Prepare and present operational performance reports to senior management.
    • Analyze data to identify trends and inform strategic decisions regarding operational initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management or account management within the logistics and transportation sector.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficient in TMS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in logistics or supply chain management.
  • Multi-modal experience within transportation and logistics.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Proven track record of driving operational excellence and sales growth.
