Inventory Control/Quality Control Specialist (Engineering)



Distribution Center Inventory and Quality Control Specialist

Reports To: DC Supervisor or Designee
Location: Palmetto, GA

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized individual to fill a dual role as Quality Associate & Inventory Specialist. This position plays a key role in maintaining the integrity of our inventory while ensuring that all inbound and outbound products meet our quality standards. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail, a proactive mindset, and a solid understanding of warehouse operations, quality control, and inventory management.

Primary Responsibilities

Quality Assurance (50%)

Inspect incoming shipments for damage, accuracy, and adherence to quality standards and specifications.Identify, document, and report any non-conformities or quality issues.Perform routine quality audits of inventory and warehouse practices.Work with the warehouse and procurement teams to resolve product discrepancies or damage.Ensure compliance with company quality policies and regulatory standards.Maintain records of inspections, tests, and audits.Assist in continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality and process integrity.
Abides by all established organizational policies, rules, and regulations.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Inventory Management (50%)
Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile variances between physical inventory and system records.
Assist with receiving, stocking, picking, and shipping activities when needed to ensure inventory accuracy.
Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
Monitor inventory levels, storage conditions.Maintain organized, accurate, and up-to-date inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).Support inventory audits (internal and external) and assist in preparing necessary documentation.Collaborate with operations to improve inventory control processes and reduce shrinkage.
Experience:
2 + years of experience in a warehouse environment with a focus on quality or inventory control
Strong understanding of WMS and barcode scanning systems
Familiarity with quality inspection methods and documentation

Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently
Team player
Well organized and detail oriented
Multi-task efficiently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
Knowledge of Epicor a plus
Forklift certified, or ability to become certified
Able to lift up to 50 lbs

Education:
Associate or Bachelors Degree preferredHigh school diploma or GED required
