Soft Goods Operator I (Maintenance)



The following list includes describes the tasks and/or areas that comprise the role of Soft Goods Operator. Credibility in all of these areas will be essential for continued success in the role.
Role and Responsibilities:
Preparation:
Utilize computer scan system (Ritetime) to record work
Accurately pull parts and components from inventory locations for building of finished goods.
Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
Sewing:
Sewing of standard products and subcomponents by using templates, samples or QPM (Quality Procedure Manual).Sew standard, basic custom seats, backs, overlays, hip guides, and laterals
Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as measuring tape, cordless drills, wrenches, bag sealer, allen wrenches, and label gun.

Use of commercial sewing machines including serger, gusset, binder, tacking and stitch sewer.
Document and regulate:
Verifies quality by measuring and checking completed component to specifications.Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine remaining inventory level; notify supervisor if issues arise.
Accurately record material usage for work orders on designated paper work.
Perform cycle counts and inventory verifications as needed.
Compare colors, shapes, textures, or grades of products or materials to templates, or samples to verify conformance to standards.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Package and store:
Properly package and label complete work order.
Accurately store product in designated location and record storage locations.
Miscellaneous:
Perform tasks as directed by supervisor
Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
