Job Summary
The Plant Support Engineering Manager is responsible for acting as sponsor for the health of the plant systems. In this role they will facilitate the effective engagement of assigned System Engineers to optimize performance of the team's systems in support of maximized station efficiency.This position is located at Perry Nuclear Power Plant in Perry, Ohio.
Job Description
Key Accountabilities
- Manage activities associated with System Health Teams.
- Represent System Engineering on outage management teams.
- Direct monitoring of plant systems to optimize system performance.
- Develop action plans and manage completion of activities required to resolve plant performance issues.
- Facilitate staffing activities.
- Direct the activities of the individual contributors within the group.
- Conduct performance reviews, salary actions, and monitor individual contributor and direct reports performance.
- Coordinate and plan large work-scope projects and task teams.
- Prioritize and approve group activities and work products.
- Allocate personnel and budget to complete engineering activities and meet department/site goals.
Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Engineering degree or related Science degree.
- Detailed knowledge of power plant systems including engineering principles associated with plant design and operation
- Extensive knowledge of Codes, standards, plant specific procedures and regulatory requirements governing the design and operation of nuclear power plants
- Knowledge of planning, scheduling and cost analysis
- Professional Engineering registration preferred
- Leadership/supervisory experience favorable
