Collections Representative – Medical Billing (Finance)



Location: The VIC (18110 SE 34th Street, Building 5 - Vancouver, WA 98683)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00a-5:30p

Hiring range is between $21.70-$26.00 and placement in the range depends on evaluation of experience.

Join Vancouver Clinic as a Collections Representative on our Patient Financial Services team. In this role you will focus on outbound calls to patients regarding past-due accounts, setting up payment plans, and providing exceptional phone-based customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Contact patients to collect overdue balances
  • Set up and manage payment plans
  • Respond to billing questions and resolve issues
  • Provide courteous assistance for inbound calls when needed
  • Work collection queues and process related paperwork while maintaining metrics

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with healthcare/medical office accounting required
  • Strong customer service skills, especially by phone
  • Able to work and succeed in a team supported, fast-paced, metric environment

Additional details : Collections Team has the potential for off-site work after successful completion of full-time, on-site training at The VIC and meeting the requirements for working off-site (approx. 6 months). This requires an employee to meet metrics, live in the local Vancouver, WA or Portland, OR area and have a secure home network with minimum upload (5 mbps) and download speeds (25 mbps).

Pay Range:
$21.28 - $29.78

PTO and Personal Time accruals are pro-rated by FTE/hours worked. Non-benefits eligible employees will accrue Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked.
