Assembly Machinist Job Functions:

  • Operate and adjust production machinery that may include presses, laser marker, ink jet, electro etch, fit, ovens, swage, bore grinders, drill, mill and roll thread
  • Check parts for fit, center, stake, stamp and proper marking per the print specifications. This is done through visual and physical inspection as well as use of gauging tools includingmicrometer and calipers.
  • Based on experience may require setting up machine up per machine parameters. Run first piece parts when required and make appropriate adjustments to attain quality characteristics per print specifications and complete necessary paperwork to attain a set-up approval.
  • Load parts as instructed, cycle equipment and check parts at designated intervals and make necessary adjustments.
  • Maintain machine operation including checking fluid levels.
  • Select and change cutting inserts, arbors and plugs
  • Set O.D. size, face size, groove size and chamfer size properly. True arbor. Set cutting tool speed and RPM speed properly. Set appropriate gauges to print specifications.
  • Run 1st piece part, make necessary adjustments to attain quality characteristics per print specifications and complete necessary paperwork to attain a set-up approval.

Assembly Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED (validation is required)
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Previous manufacturing experience with general machine aptitude
  • Ability to accurately use calipers, gauges and micrometer
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints
  • Prior manufacturing and machine operatirng experience preferred

The hourly rate of pay for this position is $19.50 - $22.50 per hour and is commensurate on experience and education. This full-time position is eligible to participate in the paid time off plan, 401k, and comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision.
