Heading Trainee (Finance)



Role Summary

To assist the heading department and header operators.
Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for proper lubrication of equipment, designated oil changes and minor machine repair.
  • Purge and wash down of all machines.
  • Obtains necessary tools for next order prior to changeover.
  • Unloading steel trucks.
  • Required to load machines, weld wire, and to remove raw material from inventory. Required to re-band and re-tag wire that is to be returned to the wire storage area or that has been rejected.
  • Responsible to report any equipment malfunctions, production shortages, excessive tool usage or other system failures related to job to supervisor.
  • Keep machines and work area neat and clean including press area and aisle ways.
  • Completes necessary records for production and down time.
  • Follows work instructions for first and last piece tickets.
  • Responsible for proper cleaning of all wire drawing equipment.
  • Conduct pan checks to ensure product quality.
  • Clean outside and inside of all machines.
  • Clean dies and other tooling.
  • Assist with setup teardown.
  • Cleaning of all welding equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications (Required):
  • Certifications/Licenses:Perform work under direct supervision
  • Handle basic issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher level staff
  • 0 to 2 years of experience

  • Ability to interpret work instructions
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions
  • Basic verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Clerical skills
  • Ability to lift/move heavy objects
