Senior Director Organization & Change Management (Finance)

This is a hybrid role, and the ideal candidate should reside in drivable distance from our GXO facility in High Point NC to work onsite two days a week.

The Sr Director, Organization and Change Management, is a new role that will be responsible for guiding and transforming the organization to better achieve its strategic goals and objective through optimization of workflows, systems, and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. This business transformation leader will guide the organization's structure and hierarchy to improve implementation and responsiveness. This leader will design optimal team networks, define business KPIs, and align organizational processes while introducing a strong discipline of change practices, using a highly consultative and execution-focused mindset, bringing extensive expertise in building, leading and upskilling change management and introducing best practice frameworks and strategies. In addition, this role will be responsible for assessing readiness and change needs, developing change management strategies, developing plans, and leading the change management activities for GXO's Americas and Asia Pacific (AMAPAC) HR Organization. This individual will work with world-class cross-functional teams to support execution and facilitate a collaborative environment that is inclusive and productive. This role will be focused on enhancing and promoting a culture based on the organization's unifying values, and ethical decision-making.

What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Promote agility through scalable organizational practices through site resources
  • Partner with IT organization to integrate and adopt new technologies to support the transformation and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Harmonize and optimize existing processes and implement new processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Act as a catalyst for innovation, ensuring alignment between business objectives, IT strategies, and overall organizational goals.
  • Build strong relationships with senior leadership, department heads, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and engagement.
  • Collects, analyzes, and interprets data to measure the effectiveness of initiatives and programs, identifying trends and making data-driven recommendations.
  • Partner with other regions to drive and develop an overall Change Management Strategy, Process, Approach, and playbook for GXO.
  • Plan and deliver change management projects for the AMAPAC region.
  • Ensure visibility of change management projects and keep leadership up to date on progress, risks and known issues.
  • Develop communication strategies and simultaneously execute a variety of tactics to reach all relevant stakeholders with timely and consistent information related to project updates, key announcements, policy and process changes, organizational changes and be able to organize - and often visualize - strategies in a variety of formats to ensure understanding of responsibilities and timelines.
  • Identify factors that could jeopardize realization of critically important change endeavors. Develop and execute risk mitigation plans.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations and applying structured methodology to lead change management activities.
  • Assess, develop, and execute a culture framework aimed at managing business results including employee morale and retention.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the change management program and implement improvement strategies.
  • Provide consulting and oversight to ensure organizational change is effectively managed.
  • Facilitate and lead workshops and meetings to identify, plan, and implement change initiatives.
  • Identify leading practices that can be deployed across the enterprise, upskilling and building a team of Talent and Change leads, and building enterprise manager and employee change leadership, readiness and resilience.
  • Develop key performance indicators; analyze and interpret overall performance and track key business development objectives and strategic initiatives.
What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree and equivalent experience in industry required; master's degree in organizational psychology strongly preferred.
  • Analytical skills to identify areas for improvement
  • Application of AI/BI and Co Pilot resources to support digital transformation
  • Problem resolution capabilities to address issues arising out of competing transformation timelines
  • Deep specialized knowledge in the areas of talent management and human capital.
  • Ability to analyze complex situations, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.
  • Understanding the concerns and motivations of employees and stakeholders, and addressing them effectively
  • Ten (10+) years in human resources, organizational development and effectiveness, leadership development, I/O psychology or related field with strong, proven change management expertise; management consulting experience preferred.
  • Established Change Management/Organizational Development practitioner with demonstrated skill and experience working on large scale engagements with significant change elements and delivering behavioral transformation.
  • Ability to apply industry experience and next level change management and organizational development thinking.
  • Adept at learning the business, creating internal partnerships, fostering collaboration and recommending strategies that fit the culture and business model.
  • Relevant experience assisting organizational transformation and change efforts within a large company setting, with a solid understanding of the drivers of organizational culture and climates.
  • Proven thought leader who consistently educates themselves on latest thinking and advances in the space, external trends and competitor analysis. Comfortable presenting to senior leadership.
  • Experience leading change management for large-scale, multi-country initiatives.

It'd be great if you also have:
  • Experience working on M&A transactions, including acquisition integration.
  • Global experience.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing action-oriented innovative models of practice, approach, and policy for promoting culture changes, strengthening organizations and workplace environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to track, manage and handle significant volumes of information involving different issues with keen attention to detail.
