What you will do 

In PGIM Fixed Income, our technology group is a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with exciting changes on the horizon under new senior leadership. We are looking for a well-rounded individual to be part of the Application Service Delivery team to provide application support within our production environment. Our ideal candidate will be an eager learner interested in gaining valuable experience in supporting complex investment management platforms and applications.  This will include front-office investment systems, business support applications and complex back-office data management and automation platforms. What you can expect 

  • Provide production management for systems used by front office, Operations, and client teams.

  • Ownership and accountability for the operation, monitoring and integrity of the technology platform, including complex nightly data import processes from multiple external vendors

  • Available to be on-call for failure escalations including evenings and weekends on a rotation basis.

  • Ownership and participation in the incident and problem management processes, being accountable for resolution, root cause analysis and technology/business reporting as well as communication.

  • Providing oversight for the stability of the production environment within the change, incident and problem management processes and ensuring policies are enforced.

  • Relationship management internally with the business and technology stakeholders.

  • Navigate the broader technology organization, build relationships to manage the team's agenda with our critical technology partners.

  • Interface with external vendors and their technical support/development organizations ensuring focus to resolution of issues and strategic enhancements.

What you will bring 

  • 4+ years of experience working in a Technology Application Support or SRE role.

  • Experience working in the financial industry.

  • Strong communication skills and an enthusiastic team player.

  • Strong research, analytical, investigation and troubleshooting skills.

  • Experience working in Cloud technologies (AWS and/or Azure).

  • A tenacious sense of ownership and a desire to bring incidents to resolution quickly.

  • Experience with database concepts and writing database queries using SQL (MS SQL preferred)

  • Familiarity in navigating and writing commands in the Linux operating system.

  • Strong understanding of application monitoring and alerting requirements.

  • Experience with using scheduling tools (Autosys preferred).

  • Excellent documentation skills with ability to document processes, incident resolution steps etc.

  • A hunger for continuous learning, constantly looking for opportunities to improve upon the status quo.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with excellent relationship building skills.

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $115,000 to $140,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
