Packing Technician Nights (Transportation)

 

What You'll Get to Do

The Packing Technician is focused on attention to detail and reports to the Packing and Material Handling Manager.

This role is perfect for an individual who likes to stay active and be a team leader. A vital member of the Packing Department that wants to build a career with an industry leader.

Job responsibilities include:

• Locate on-time material and deliver to box machine or packing tables.
• Generate tickets for buggies of metal that need to be packed.
• Ensure all packing tables have metal to pack.
• Verifies that parts match the die print, ticket, and quantity
• Must have problem-solving abilities to solve issues that arise over quality, count, color, etc.
• Must be computer literate and able to read and understand Epics scheduling information.

 We Are Looking For

• Constant standing, walking, bending for entire shift up to 12-13 hours.
• Frequent pushing of buggies of material with weights up to 3000#
• Constant use of hands for grasping and lifting - taping, moving, operating cart caddy, data entry, moving material
• Occasionally performing a two-person lift of boxes weighing up to 150 pounds.
