Food and Beverage Manager - Embassy Suites by Hilton San Francisco Airport (Finance)

The Food and Beverage manager directs and organizes the activities of the Food & Beverage department to maintain the high standards of food and beverage quality and service within the department.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year (2+ preferred) experience in upper management within a full service restaurant, 6 months (1+ year preferred) hotel and banquet experience, strong administrative skills to complete tasks incl uding but not limited to scheduling, inventory, record keeping, and purchasing, excellent multi-tasking , time management and communication skills, open availability, and proven ability to manage and motivate a team.

What will I be doing?

As a Food and Beverage Manager you would be responsible for the direction and supervision of food servers, bartenders, and other staff in reference to schedules, service standards, training, motivation, and safety. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standard:

  • Monitor product quality and guest satisfaction in the outlets. Ensure that food quality is consistent, appealing, and prepared to guest specifications.

  • Interact with guests to obtain feedback on quality of service and food in outlet. Greet and seat customers, resolve problems to the satisfaction of involved parties and answer telephones in a clear voice, coordinate and document reservations .

  • Document inventory forecast usage and monitor supply so that restaurants are stocked with linen, glassware, silverware, china , condiments, in order to provide service.

  • Assist in ensuring that the restaurant complies with sanitation and safety standards for guests and team members. Check that all equipment is in working order. Visually inspect and take action to ensure that facilities in restaurants look appealing and attractive to guests. Follow up on work orders so repairs and maintenance of the facility are completed on a timely basis.

  • Participate in marketing efforts of restaurants, create menu ideas, survey competition and report food trends, and assist in preparations of specials. Interact with customers to determine needs, satisfaction, and resolve conflicts.

  • Plans and directs the functions of administration and planning of the Food & Beverage department to meet the daily needs of the operation

  • Implements effective controls of food, beverage and labor costs

The annual pay range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location .
