Job: Logistics Coordinator

Shift: Days

Location: Mar Petcare (Fort Smith, AR)

Mars Petcare is seeking Logistics Coordinator to join our exciting pet food business at a Fort Smith, AR manufacturing plant. We focus on the unique needs of cats and dogs. Our obsession with detail allows us to deliver precise, effective nutrition and help them become their magnificent best.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain replenishment orders of materials to support factory operations
  • Scheduling Inbound Loads
  • Processing and completing Goods Receipt process
  • Work with commercial inbound on supply issues and replenishment to Americold
  • Review projected production demand and advise commercial inbound of significant changes
  • Influence in conjunction with other areas resolution of short supply situations, rejection of materials, product allocation processes, and hold processes as an advocate for plant production
  • Cycle count inventory of raw ingredients as defined by financial compliance regulations
  • Functional ability to work within Nexus to create Non-Cons, S-CAPAs and Waivers as necessary for commodity issues.
  • Keep records and control of holds inventory
  • Manage all inventories to ensure appropriate safety stocks are maintained and meet production needs.
  • Investigate and determine correct transaction activity and system(s) required to reverse errors and/or correct inventory through cycle counts.
  • Coordinate the resolution of potential short inventories between Commercial team, Vendors, and carriers as needed.
  • Keep records and control of holds inventory
  • Functional ability to work within Nexus to create Non-Cons, S-CAPAs and Concessions as necessary for commodity issues.
  • Serve as a resource with Bill of Lading/PO problems.
  • Serve as a resource for SAP/Red Prairie Systems
  • Maintain & control Blocked Inventory levels at an acceptable level
  • Manage Aged Supplier Owned Inventory and transact as needed
  • This position and all site associates are responsible for quality and food safety

Education:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Knowledge of manufacturing inventory systems (*SAP/Red Prairie/ Declining Balance).
  • Knowledge of Financial Compliance and Documentation.
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Management
  • Functional Expert in SAP, Red Prairie, RF Scan Gun & Portable printers
  • Must have a working knowledge FIFO/FEFO procedures
  • Food manufacturing experience and knowledge of food safety
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to quickly respond.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time on hard surfaces
  • Computer / IPad literate with the ability to enter, record, maintain, and retrieve data.
