Community Leadership Academy (CLA), one of Colorado's top-performing elementary schools, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary Music Teacher to lead our K–5 music program. Your Role and Responsibilities

As our Elementary Music Teacher, you'll have the exciting opportunity to:

  • Create Musical Experiences: Teach general music classes for K–5 students, incorporating singing, movement, instrument playing, and listening activities
  • Inspire Musical Passion: Encourage students to enjoy, appreciate, and perform music through engaging, age-appropriate lessons
  • Implement a Structured and Meaningful Music Program: Use developed lessons and the Core Knowledge Sequence as a guide to provide a well-rounded music education
  • Enhance Learning with Music: Use both traditional and contemporary music literature to deepen students' understanding of musical concepts
  • Maintain Resources: Oversee the care and maintenance of all music instruments, equipment, and materials
  • Track Student Progress: Assess student growth, performance, and participation

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (required)
  • One of the following in elementary education:
    • Colorado teaching license or endorsement
    • 36 credit hours in content
    • Passing score on approved Praxis exams
  • Strong knowledge of elementary music instruction
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Prior experience teaching or working with children strongly preferred
