Maintenance, Utility - Hilton Anaheim (Maintenance)



The Hilton Anaheim is looking for Maintenance, Utility Mechanic to join the Engineering team! You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment throughout the facility as well as to ensure safe and proper operations.

Our property has 1,574 rooms, is newly renovated and located in the heart of California's famous Orange County, adjacent to the Anaheim Convention Center and steps from the Disneyland Resort.

Hourly range for this role is $24.38 to $30.47.

Classification: Full Time

Shift: Varies AM/PM and to include weekends and holidays.

 

Ideal candidate for this role will have: 

  • Availability to work a varied schedule: mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. 
  • Understanding of preventative maintenance.
  • Previous hotel experience ideal.  

  

What will I be doing:

A Maintenance, Utility maintains the physical functionality of facility including guest rooms and heart-of-the-house areas. Performs a variety of repairs and maintenance tasks including carpentry, plumbing, electric, painting, HVAC and masonry throughout the facility in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the requirements of the hotel. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Inspects guestrooms and heart-of-the-house for needed and preventive maintenance.
  • Records and reports completed repairs and items that need further attention or that require placing a room 'out of order.
  • Maintains and repairs mechanical equipment such as guest room HVAC fan coil units to keep equipment in working order.
  • Work with all department trades to assist with special projects or emergencies.
  • Maintains, repairs, or replaces minor electrical fixtures to keep equipment in working order.
  • Any other duties, not specified herein, required to provide for the efficient and safe operation of hotel maintenance and mechanical systems.
  • Respond to requests throughout the facility to make the necessary repairs to plumbing fixtures, including but not limited to sink/tub fixtures and toilets, in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintains, repairs, and replaces water, steam, gas and drain piping within the facility to ensure proper operations and functions of piping systems.
  • Repairs and/or replace suspended ceiling systems. Work with gypsum drywall, as needed, to access water, waste, and electrical piping systems.
  • Inspect guestrooms and public areas for deficiencies in accordance with hotel brand standards.
