Manager, Field Operations & Distribution Data Analytics (Project Management)

We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Manager, Field Operations/Distribution Data Analytics to join our team. This position is essential for leveraging data and analytics to drive impactful business results. The Manager will work closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities, understand business needs, and deliver analytical solutions that enhance field operations and distribution efforts. This role is critical in helping achieve production and profitability goals by defining and implementing data strategies for field operations and distribution.

Key Responsibilities:

Data-Driven Business Impact: Use analytics to provide insights and support decision-making in field operations and distribution. Collaborate with teams to drive business results by identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as the liaison between the field, distribution, and the advanced analytics department. Ensure data solutions meet the needs of front-line users and align with strategic goals.

Coaching & Leadership: Lead and develop the data support staff, overseeing hiring, performance evaluations, and growth opportunities. Address performance issues and apply corrective actions when necessary.

Strategic Planning & Execution: Assist in the planning and execution of compensation strategies, premium production, and annual agency segmentation reviews. Coordinate with underwriting, financial divisions, and field offices for smooth processes.

Analytics & Reporting: Own, manage, and update reports related to field operations and distribution. Examples include agency count, submission data, UW workload data, and new appointment dashboards.

Change Facilitation & Conflict Management: Act as the primary agent of change by implementing new tools and processes to improve operational efficiency. Address and resolve conflicts by fostering constructive discussions and solutions.

Adaptability & Innovation: Comfortable with continuous improvement initiatives and able to drive change across the department. Demonstrates persistence and flexibility in overcoming obstacles.

Accountability: Ensure timely and accurate execution of business processes while managing department expectations and deliverables.

Special Relationships:

Direct collaboration with the VP Field Operations, Regional Vice Presidents, Territory Managers, and Financial Division.

Coordinate with the Operations Support Specialist and manage various internal teams and external agents.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree required (preferably in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or related fields). Continuing education in specialized insurance courses (IIA, CPCU, CIC) is a plus.

Experience: A minimum of 5 years in a related field with previous supervisory experience preferred.

Technical Skills:

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Experience with data querying, SQL, Tableau, R, and statistical modeling

A solid understanding of insurance coverages, agency operations, and marketing programs

Exceptional problem-solving, research, and analytical skills

Strong math aptitude and data modeling knowledge

  • This position is primarily a sedentary position that requires occasional standing and walking throughout the office environment.
  • Must be able to see and effectively use a computer monitor.
  • Must be able to operate a computer, keyboard and applicable printers and other general office equipment.
  • Must be able to access and enter information accurately using automated systems.
  • Must be able to hear and communicate via the telephone and/or monitoring devices to both internal and external clients.
  • Must be able to present information to individuals and groups.
  • Must be able to interpret and apply concepts that may or may not be based upon established guidelines.
  • Must be able to maintain acceptable attendance and adhere to scheduled work hours.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be able to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Must be able to travel, with overnight stays required.
