Waivers Analyst (Finance)



Job Description

Reporting to the Supervisor, Waivers, this position will be responsible for all facets of the waivers and specialized invoicing process for the company. The Waivers Analysts supports and works alongside the Contracts Team and Credit and Collections Team and coordinates closely with the company's field operations personnel and customers.

The salary for this role will be commensurate based on education and/or experience.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Prepares and submits lien waivers (conditional/unconditional), payment applications, and sworn statements by investigating and confirming accuracy of accounts receivables against internal and customer-prepared documentation
  • Reviews and analyzes contracts, change orders and other project documentation to ensure contractual billing requirements are met.
  • Follows up with internal stakeholders and customers via email or phone to obtain missing documentation or resolve outstanding issues.
  • Prepares and submits specialized billing forms in accordance with contractual billing requirements.
  • Understands and uses several different payment portals for entering and uploading waiver and payment application information.
  • Works with appropriate internal stakeholders and customers to resolve queries, discrepancies, and requests.
  • Assists Contracts Team supervisors with special projects, as requested and as time allows.
  • Assists with the organization and clean-up of contract files, folders, and other administrative tasks.
  • Supports process improvement initiatives related to contract lifecycle management and document control.

What We Are Looking For
  • A college degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field, or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the responsibilities of the role.
  • Prior experience (1+ year preferred) in a corporate or field operations environment handling contracts or legal documentation
  • Knowledge and understanding of basic accounting principles/practices.
  • Construction accounting experience a plus, but not required.
  • Experience with American Institute of Architects (AIA) - G702/G703 documents a plus, but not required.
  • Working knowledge of wavier billing portals (Textura, GC Pay, etc.) a plus, but not required.
  • Strong computer proficiency with a variety of software applications, including MS-Office Suite and PDF software and excellent typing skills.
  • The role requires mobility within work environments, use of office equipment, lifting up to 20 pounds, clear vision and hearing, effective communication skills, and occasional travel for meetings and training sessions.
