Work Based Learning Clinical Coordinator - LPN (Education)

What will you be doing and how will you make a difference at American Senior Communities?

The Work Based Learning Clinical Coordinator is responsible for conducting nurse aide classes/training for work-based learning students. This position will be responsible for monitoring students to ensure resident care requirement are being met according to care plans and policies, maintaining student files to track classroom and clinical requirements, and working alongside the Regional Training Program Director to update the work-based learning program. This role will include 30 hours a week in assisting with the work-based training program where you will foster a supportive and uplifting environment and promote teamwork and prompt, regular attendance to ensure quality resident care. This position also requires one day a week as a floor nurse.  

 Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Active Indiana RN/LPN license.
  • Clinical experience with an ongoing interest and enthusiasm for creating educational programs that address the unique issues associated with care of the aged.
  • Knowledge of current federal and state laws and regulations in long-term care.
  • Knowledge and ability to coach, mentor, and educate nurse aides in training and others within the nursing team.
