Program Management Advisor - Cigna Healthcare - Remote (Finance)

Overview: This role is within AAPS (Affordability & Accuracy Pre/Post Pay Solutions). AAPS focuses on Accurate Claim Payment and Reducing Medical Cost expenditures at Cigna.

The Program Management Advisor will be required to be a highly adaptable and experienced Business Project Utility Leader in our project/business area. This role is designed for a dynamic individual who thrives in fast-paced environments and is comfortable stepping into various projects and business roles based on evolving organizational and unit needs. This is not a traditional, fixed-role position; instead, it requires someone who is a strategic thinker, a servant leader, and a hands-on contributor, capable of pivoting quickly and effectively. This role will directly lead, participate and own solutions that deliver value to our payment integrity programs and customers. The projects and business solutions this role will be responsible includes (but not limited to): coding, policy, compliance, legal, external vendors, internal matrix partner programs and programs This role will focus on the delivery of assigned projects and assistance in the achievement of departmental goals/financial goals and will play a significant part in achieving functional/technical delivery to our business, ensuring that priorities are met and appropriate business value is delivered.

Responsibilities:

Planning & Strategy

  • Planning, organizing, and controlling processes to achieve project/program objectives within scope, time, quality, and budget constraints.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize the product backlog, ensure clarity of requirements, and drive product vision and delivery.
  • Develop and manage project plans, track milestones, manage risks and dependencies, and ensure timely delivery of initiatives.

Development & Execution

  • Cross-Functional Support: Step into gaps across business teams and functions including but not limited to legal, compliance, coding, claims, technology, etc., providing leadership, coordination, and execution support wherever needed.

Facilitation & Delivery

  • Facilitate business project delivery meetings, remove impediments, coach teams on project principles, and foster continuous improvement.

Support & Coaching

  • Coaching: Mentor business team members and stakeholders on project delivery best practices, helping to mature business capabilities across the organization.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships across business and technology teams, ensuring alignment and transparency.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher strongly preferred or equivalent work experience required
  • 7+ years of proven experience in multiple project delivery roles
  • 7+ years of healthcare claims experience
  • Advanced understanding of agile frameworks
  • Payment integrity experience is a plus
  • Project Management training, PMP, or Agile certifications are a plus.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to quickly assess team dynamics and organizational needs and adapt accordingly.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 93,300 - 155,500 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
