Commercial Asset Analyst (Finance)



 JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Provide support for storage and pipeline commercial discussions
    • Review existing commercial terms and ensure volume and fees are accurately reflected in Targa's tracking system (Right Angle)    
    • Ownership of Storage Revenue budget including forecast to actuals comparison. Analyzing and presenting variances. 
    • Update, track and notify impacted parties of critical contractual date changes and escalations
    • Maintain and monitor customer contractual storage limits. 
  • Optimization of Fractionator, Pipeline, and Storage business around changes in demand, production, and transportation availability 
    • Update and maintain models tracking performance of assets
    • Analyze operations to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement
    • Coordinate with Commercial, Trading, and Operations to align schedules to meet customer demand. 
  • Tracking and analysis of product flows across the portfolio, including providing thoughtful analysis of trends and long-term growth planning
  • Perform additional analytical work as needed, inclusive of creation of presentations and reports based on findings and recommendations for executive review

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Economics or related field
  • 5 years of experience
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Interpersonal communication skills are required in order to interface with all affected teams, personnel, and vendors; able to work in a self-directed team. 
  • Must work with a minimum of supervision and be able to manage their time when given multiple tasks.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and be able to respond to call outs as need to fulfill business objectives
  • Regular and reliable attendance.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to leverage technical skills in Microsoft Excel to create process improvement and/or financial modeling experience
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Motivated individual capable of working independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail with ability to provide accurate and timely work
  • Strong communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments and competing deadlines
  • Right Angle Experience (.net platform)
