Finance Manager- Divisional FP&A (Transportation)



Job Summary

Job Description

This role will provide and lead financial decision support with business partners and research and recommend options and solutions for improved business results to senior management.  The role will lead and oversee financial reporting among the financial analysis team and support new business initiatives, system integrations, and other major change management impacting the FP&A team.

  • Analyze and investigate complex information reported in internal financial statements and other periodic financial reports. Understand major movements before publication. Prepare month-end reporting packages along with commentaries to publish to business partners.

  • Provide financial decision support to business partners and recommend options and solutions for improved business results (e.g. ROI, scenario modeling).

  • Collaborate with Division General Managers and ReNewal leadership, cross-functional teams, and directors to communicate financial performance versus historical and annual operating plans.

  • Prepare and present financial forecasts covering annual operating plans, long-range plans, and quarterly outlook guidance.

  • Conduct and document finance projects to enhance analytics and forecasting capabilities.

  • Drive continuous improvement e.g. innovating analysis and identify new metrics to keep up with business financial management need.

  • Prepare annual budget, quarterly and long-range forecasts.

  • Conduct and lead quarterly/monthly financial business reviews with Divisions and other senior management.

  • Provide specialized expertise through leading special projects and financial reviews.  Lead special projects within the financial analysis and reporting team to drive process improvement and consistency.

  • Serve as backup to the Sr. Manager. 

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma.

  • At least 5 years of financial planning, reporting and/or analysis experience.

  • At least 2 years of experience providing financial advice and counsel to P&L/business owners.

  • Experience in leading strategic decision making and goal setting initiatives.

  • Experience in leading profit improvement initiatives.

  • Advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel and other ERP financial systems.

  • Willing to travel for business purposes (within state and out of state).  

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA.

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Experience directly managing people including hiring, developing, motivating, and directing people as they work.

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$110,240.00 - $165,360.00 Annual

The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
