Parts Operations Support Manager (Manufacturing)

Wagner has been selling and renting quality CAT machines used in heavy construction, building construction, mining, waste handling, paving, municipal and governmental applications, forestry and more since 1976. With locations in Colorado, New Mexico, and far West Texas, we are a CAT equipment dealer that prioritizes customer service while boasting a vast inventory to make sure our customers get the equipment, parts, and repair service they need.

Summary:

Wagner is seeking a motivated and experienced Parts Operations Support Manager to support our Parts Operations Team.  If you are selected for this role, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our team, will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing Wagner's parts processes, and executing strategies that manage cost and helps deliver a premier customer experience in a manner that reflects the company's vision of working as “One Professional Team.”

You will work with experts in our field, have support in your career path and will be part of a team that is invested in your development.  This position reports to the Vice President of Parts.

 

Pay Rate:  $77,500.00 - $106,200.00 Annually

 Essential Functions:

Responsibilities may include:

  • Team Management: Manage the Parts support employees for eCommerce systems, process, logistics, data reporting and pricing
  • Reporting and Analytics: Develop, produce and maintain dashboards, reports and ad-hoc data requests used by the Parts organization to measure performance and communicate with customers
  • Pricing: Document, develop and maintain pricing strategies that align with market pressure and company gross profit expectations
  • Operational Performance: Monitor operational performance and mitigate risks, and implement corrective actions to resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and influence others towards common goals 
  • Customer Experience: Partner with internal clients to deliver customer-centric solutions

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Demonstrated understanding of workplace safety principles and practices and knowledge of regulatory compliance
  • 1 or more years leading, coaching, and managing the performance of an operations team 
  • 3 or more years working with Caterpillar Dealers, Caterpillar or a related industry
  • 3 or more years providing high-quality customer service to both internal and external customers 
  • 2 or more years supplier negotiation experience, securing the best prices and quality for parts 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint and Teams)
  • Strong data analytics skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in supply chain management, business administration or a related field
  • 3 or more years of leadership experience/team management
  • Experience in parts distribution, pricing strategy and eCommerce operations

 

Physical Demands and Competencies:

  • Standing, walking, talking, sitting, use of hands & hearing
  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing but may require occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds
  • Data entry, telephone, reading/writing, reasoning, organizational, communication and analytical skills
