Digital Communications Specialist (Information Technology)

Leidos QTC Health Services is seeking Digital Communications Specialist. In this key role, reporting to the External Communications Manager, you'll help shape and deliver LQTC's public-facing digital content—ensuring timely updates, cohesive campaign execution, and a consistent, brand-aligned user experience. We're looking for a strategic thinker with a strong eye for detail, a collaborative mindset, and technical fluency to turn ideas into seamless digital experiences that support engagement and growth.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Own the day-to-day management of LQTC's public website, ensuring content is timely, accurate, and on brand.
  • Lead web updates for campaigns, product pages, event materials, and other externally facing content.
  • Collaborate with content creators, designers, and subject matter experts to build high-quality digital experiences.
  • Format and publish content using enterprise CMS platforms—balancing creativity, usability, and governance.
  • Apply SEO principles, metadata tagging, and accessibility best practices to support discoverability and reach.
  • Manage and update digital signage across LQTC administrative offices and clinics, delivering branded, accurate messaging to staff and visitors.
  • Monitor website and content performance.
  • Translate insights into actionable recommendations that improve UX and engagement.
  • Proactively recommend process and platform improvements that increase efficiency and consistency.
  • Act as the point of coordination between LQTC and the broader Leidos brand and digital teams.
  • Ensure alignment across all digital touchpoints to maintain a cohesive look, feel, and message.
  • Support workflows, approvals, and publishing standards to keep digital content moving smoothly from idea to execution.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in digital communications, web content management, UX design, or digital marketing- ideally within a technology-driven, healthcare or government environment 
  • Experience with analytics platforms to measure and optimize performance
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise-level content management systems and a strong understanding of web publishing workflows 
  • Working knowledge of HTML, SEO best practices, metadata, and web accessibility standards 
  • Experience with analytics platforms to measure and optimize performance 
  • Understanding of digital asset management systems and version control 
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with an emphasis on clarity, structure, and digital formatting 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across cross-functional teams 
  • Ability to drive process improvements and contribute to strategic digital content initiatives 
  • Comfortable balancing technical infrastructure considerations with creative design thinking 
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, with exceptional attention to detail

This role may fall under the Service Contract Act (SCA), a federal law which provides for a U.S. Department of Labor-prescribed minimum prevailing rate of pay and certain benefit levels.
