Communication & Marketing Officer (Finance)
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a graphic designer and multimedia content creator (photo and video) for the college's efforts to showcase student successes, faculty research, innovative programming, and its efforts related to the workforce and its future talent pipeline. Content would be used on the college's website, future newsletter, on social media and other channels, in efforts to secure earned/organic coverage, and more.Minimum:
This position requires a bachelor's degree in communication, marketing, public relations, technical writing, digital media, or related field, with two years of experience in related positions; or a master's degree in the fields listed above. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
Preferred:
Higher education experience and experience creating (sometimes technical) academic research into graphics to help the general public understand the findings is also preferred. Creative samples will be required to demonstrate the ability to create content start-to-finish. Proficiency with Creative Cloud tools is required, as is proficiency in Microsoft Office programs. Grow Here .Produce print and digital assets in support of efforts to market and promote the college, its students, faculty research, and its industry-education partnerships. Create materials ready for a variety of uses, from print to web, to presentations, delivering visually appealing content that complies with USF branding guidelines. Create visual elements that simplify complex research into easily digestible content to accompany outreach efforts related to faculty research (for example, creating art to explain how AI tools can be used to identify PTSD in teens and be helpful in suicide prevention efforts or how cybersecurity research can prevent large-scale industry attacks). This position requires an extensive knowledge of the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, including but not limited to Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. Experience with other Adobe programs is a plus.

Photography: create and maintain photo library. Shoot still and video for the college and programs/conferences/events affiliated with the college. Use Adobe tools to edit and process images.

Serve as graphic artist for the college for other special requests, such as creating content for special faculty requests or elements to accompany grant proposals.

Other duties as assigned.
