Internal Communications Leader (Finance)



The position of Vice President, Internal Communications is based in Atlanta and reports to the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer. The VP of Internal Communications is charged with driving a corporate center of excellence for the global internal communications function, setting strategy and direction for the corporate internal communications team. This position is responsible for aligning internal communications to EFX2027 strategic imperatives, including:
  • Facilitating internal dialogue on the New Equifax, a diversified data, analytics and technology company that is more than a traditional credit bureau - driving innovation, new products, and growth from our more than $1.5B Equifax Cloud™ transformation;
  • Broadening internal understanding of the important role that Equifax plays in expanding access to credit and increasing financial inclusion;
  • Growing internal understanding of EFX.AI innovation and Security leadership.

What You'll Do
  • Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to develop and drive strategic internal communications plans.
  • Work in partnership with Business Unit Communications Leaders as well as Government Relations, Compliance, Legal, HR, Finance, Marketing, Technology, Product and Data & Analytics Leadership on global internal communications initiatives.
  • Create content for a variety of platforms including internal town halls, senior leadership messages, the Equifax intranet, etc.
  • Directly oversee a 6-person corporate internal communications team, driving communications standards from the corporate team to global communications team members as well as setting and tracking metrics globally.
  • Manage internal communications within issues communications playbooks and jointly oversee communications tabletop exercises in conjunction with the corporate external communications team.
  • Support internal content development for Board of Directors materials.
  • Liaise across a matrixed structure to support internal Executive engagements and messaging across international offices as well as recently acquired subsidiaries.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing/Communications, or similar field.
  • 10-15 years of communications experience.
  • 5-7 years experience working closely with C-Level Executives on content/communications strategies.
  • Strong writing skills across multiple platforms, for diverse audiences, and on a wide range of topics.
  • Ability to build credible, collaborative relationships with senior Executives and their teams, offering insight, guidance and counsel.
  • Personal interest in Data & Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, consumer/commercial credit and/or economic trends is a must.
  • Strong Executive presence and say/do approach.

What Could Set You Apart
  • MBA or other graduate degree.
  • Previous experience leading internal communications in a publicly-traded and/or matrixed organization.
  • Familiarity with tools including Poppulo and/or Google Workspace.
