HAAS Machinist - 2 axis (Sales)

Due to our significant growth Broadwind Industrial Solutions is seeking a skilled HAAS Machinist with experience in 2-axis machining and conversational programming to join our team in Sanford, NC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating and programming HAAS CNC lathes, be detail-oriented, and committed to producing high-quality parts in a fast-paced environment. The Machinist will operate and maintain lathe and milling machines and review drawings, instructions, blueprints or samples to ensure accurate production. The Machinist takes precise measurements for cutting or shaping and selects appropriate machine and settings for a given task.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Set-up, adjust and operate machine to run recurring projects according to project prints. This also requires set up of parts on machining work area. Ability to read and understand machining print symbols necessary. Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as tape measure and calipers. Measure, examine, and test completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications. Ability to safely operate overhead crane and forklift equipment. Keep a clean and orderly work area. Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations. All other duties as assigned.
