Financial Reporting Director (Finance)



Description:

The Director, External Reporting is a highly visible key role, which reports to the VP, Financial Accounting and Reporting. Significant responsibilities include preparing SEC Filings, managing the Disclosure Committee process, mentoring staff, leading process improvement initiatives, and maintaining SOX compliance.

Essential Functions:

  • • Manage timeline for SEC reporting.• Prepare SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and Registration Statements) and earnings releases.• Partner with Investor Relations and FP&A to prepare call scripts and investor presentations.• Maintain Wdesk (financial reporting system) and related analysis that support the preparation of annual and quarter filings.• Review XBRL included in annual and quarterly filings.• Manage Disclosure Committee process and present to senior executives.• Analyze and resolve complex disclosure issues.
  • • Mentor and train staff.• Lead process improvement initiatives related to financial accounting and reporting.• Maintain effective internal controls and manage internal and external audits of the financial reporting process.• Train the organization on non-GAAP policy and review non-GAAP reporting for compliance.• Assist in the preparation of presentations to the Audit Committee.
 

Education:

  • Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in Accounting - Required

Experience:

  • 11 years or more in • Big 4 and industry experience in auditing SEC registrants, preparing SEC filings, and SOX compliance
  • 8 years or more in • Managing projects and people
  • 5 years or more in Pharmaceuticals or life sciences company experience

Skills:

  • Leadership Skills - Advanced
  • Presentation Skills - Advanced
  • Deep Technical knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements - Advanced
  • Multi-national public company experience preferred - Advanced
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Wdesk - Advanced

Specialized Knowledge:

Licenses:

  • Active CPA License-Upon Hire-Required

The base salary for this position ranges from $190,000 to $215,000 per year. In addition, Amneal offers a short-term incentive opportunity, such as a bonus or performance-based award, as well as a long-term incentive award, such as restricted stock units, with this position within the first 12 months. Amneal ranges reflect the Company's good faith estimate of what Amneal reasonably believes that it will pay for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors, including but not limited to, qualifications, experience, geographic location and other relevant skills.
