BEEF NUTRITIONIST (Agriculture)

This critical role will be responsible for collaboratively designing beef research protocols, beef nutrition product development and formulation, and providing technical support.   • This role is designed and intended to be performed in Muscatine, Iowa.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Function as the recognized expert for KENT Nutrition Group within their area of specialty
  • 70% Research and Formulation 30% Technical Support.
  • Take a lead role in new product research and development of new products and programs as seen needed in conjunction with sales and marketing.
  • Provide primary and collaborative input into research protocols for studies conducted at the KENT Research Farm and other research facilities.
  • Provide consumer and competitive intelligence in specialty area to assist in product, program and strategy
  • Support growth of KENT Nutrition Group brand awareness through active involvement in key publications, trade shows, and scientific associations.
  • Assist in the development of new products and programs as seen needed from the field
  • Take an active leadership role in project coordination and utilize synergies between sales force, specific growth accounts and prospective accounts.
  • All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • PHD in Beef/Ruminant Nutrition with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively present, interact and negotiate with key influencers within specialty area.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, written and oral communication skills.
  • The ability to work well in a dynamic, fast-changing environment that requires a high degree of multi-tasking with minimal supervision.
  • Effective use of computer technology including Microsoft Office applications, feed formulation software and statistical software.
