2nd shift Paper Treater Assistant Operator (Manufacturing)

What you need to know:
We are currently looking to add experienced machine operators with a background in production, forklift experience and quality inspection to be part of our treater chemical processes.

Schedule:
  • 6pm-6am Monday-Thursday
 
Responsibilities:
  • Operate treating line and responsible for product quality, output, general functionality, and condition
  • Read and comprehend production schedule and order requirements
  • Startup/shut down treating line, individual sections, and mixing station as needed
  • Ensure treating line and necessary support systems are operational
  • Verify that materials and work order match
  • Load/unload paper rolls to treating line with the forklift
  • Set up and perform seamless roll splices
  • Understand and operate treating line and IFA mixing station consoles and software
  • Identify and enter correct treating line and mixing station parameters
  • Understand and perform all treating line and mixing station adjustments to achieve the best possible quality and output
  • Communicate with Quality Inspector (Treater) on schedule, line adjustments, and roll or pallet changes
  • Able to perform Quality Inspector (Treater) functions
  • Able to safely operate fork and grab lift
  • Ensure accuracy between input/output and corresponding documentation
  • General housekeeping (controls, inspection station, press area, etc.)
  • Turn in complete and correct paperwork at end of shift
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Standing on your feet for 8-10 hours
  • Able to operate in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • 1-3 years of operating manufacturing machinery
  • Ability to use hand and power tools
  • Forklift experience a plus
  • Able to read tape measure
  • Positive attitude and able to work in a team setting
