Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager
Summary
The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining EHS programs across all company sites to ensure compliance with OSHA and other applicable federal and state regulations. This role serves as the subject matter expert in industrial safety and environmental health, including areas such as powered industrial equipment, hazardous materials identification and response, workers' compensation, and regulatory reporting.
This position reports directly to the Chief Operations Officer.

Essential Functions

Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.

Design and deliver training programs to educate staff on environmental, health, and safety risks.

Conduct regular audits and safety inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.

Ensure all employees are trained on safety protocols, including OSHA compliance and powered industrial equipment operation.

Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions.

Partner with Site Leaders to conduct MARS (Managements Active Response to Safety) meetings.

Lead and document investigations into workplace incidents, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are implemented.

Maintain records of safety inspections, incident reports, training sessions, and compliance documentation.

Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and manage all required reporting.

Collaborate with site leadership and departments to foster a safety-first culture.

Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive safety measures.

Coordinate and conduct emergency response drills and preparedness planning.

Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance across all locations.

Prepare and present EHS performance reports to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Participate in all TVS SCS quality and excellence initiatives.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:

Occasionally required to sit or stand; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

May occasionally be required to lift up to 51 pounds. Assistance is required for anything over this weight.

Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

This position is based in a warehouse environment with frequent forklift traffic.

The work environment may be subject to seasonal temperature fluctuations.

Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) includes steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and high-visibility vests.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

Full-time, Exempt

Flexibility is required for extended or unplanned work hours.

Travel

Travel is required between North American locations.

Education and Experience

Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of EHS management experience, preferably in a multi-site warehouse or industrial setting.

Proven knowledge of OSHA regulations, incident investigation and reporting, and root cause analysis.

Familiarity with environmental compliance standards (e.g., ESG, ISO 14001).

Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification preferred.

Experience training on powered industrial equipment.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
