Demand Planning Manager (Finance)



Coke Florida is looking for a Demand Planning Manager to work out of our Tampa area office.

What You Will Do:

The Demand Manager will support & lead all processes relating generation, assessment of the Demand Forecast that drives our supply chain process, resource allocation decisions and service our customer & consumer needs.

As a key team member within the Profit Growth Management & Planning team, the Demand Manager will need to operate and embrace the team's principles of:

  • Create "one" consensus forecast, an agreed upon single source of truth to which all are accountable enabled through cross functional team input, technology, and business insights
  • Manage integrated business processes of planning to effectively deliver desired customer value propositions
  • Enable execution of segmented customer & consumer service models with effective program design
  • Allocate resources to optimize Coke Florida's business outcomes, while managing trade-offs and investment decisions
  • Profit Growth Management & Planning to support Coke Florida in making its next best decision with end-to-end thinking to deliver disciplined & sustained profitable growth

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Demand Planning team using various statistical models to build the base forecast, apply promotional and lifecycle planning modules to create a Coke Florida's statistical forecast with a rolling 26 weeks' time horizon. When needed, provide a longer time horizon of forecast view based on statistical model projection to support long term planning.
  • Review, evaluate and document the results of the statistical forecast at customer, location, package, material level against mid-term derived customer forecast from customer account management team.
  • Subject matter expert in support of the Sales & Operations execution process that drives Coke Florida's consensus forecast with key stakeholders (Sales, Operations, Production, Finance, Planning teams, etc.)
  • Partners with Commercial Lifecycle Manager on incoming and outgoing products as it relates to forecast input into Blue Yonder to enable a smooth supply planning execution with introduction of "lifecycle" module within Blue Yonder as a potential solution.
  • Proactive forecast quality assessment using trend analysis, forecast vs actual results and data input of volume by utilizing customer promotional calendars, history, and current information.
  • Collaborate with other planning functions (lifecycle, bottler to bottler, deployment, production, transportation) as needed to enable an integrated planning activities and processes.
  • Support supply planning by effectively communicating any issues behind the immediate 4-week forecast.
  • Develop team members through training and ongoing learning opportunities.
  • Provide feedback for ongoing continuous improvement needed to make our Blue Yonder process more effective.
  • Continue to build the forecasting capabilities of the Demand Planning team and encourage cross functional learning and integration with other planning functions.
  • Look for opportunities to enhance the usage of statistical forecast for mid and long term resource allocation decision support capabilities.
  • Support all related integrated planning requirements and or other assigned projects

For this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree required preferably in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Operations Management, Engineering disciplines OR equivalent entrepreneurial business experience with proven business & people leadership
  • Five (5) plus years' experience in area of Business Management, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, Procurement, or Operations required
  • Strong Forecast, Supply Planning experience required
  • People leadership experience preferred
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Experience SAP APO highly preferred
