Advanced Controls Engineer (Finance)

Use your knowledge of controls engineering discipline, processes, and tools to help Honeywell deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will work under general supervision and alongside some of the world's most talented engineers. You will contribute to the development of Honeywell's next generation of products by designing, testing and/or validating products/ processes from prototype to market. You will be part of a group of highly committed professionals who provide expertise and ensure the success of complex engineering projects and programs.

The application period for the job is estimated to be 40 days from the job posting date; however, this may be shortened or extended depending on business needs and the availability of qualified candidates.Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, electronic, or chemical is preferred)
  • 5+ Years' experience working as controls or chemical engineer (Preferred in oil & gas, chemical, EPC or large engineering firm)
  • Experience working with P&IDs (review and/or preparation)
  • Experience preparing requisitions for various types of PLC Panel, analyzers, junction boxes, and cables,
  • Experience preparing instrument wiring diagrams and schematic diagrams.
  • Experience developing and reviewing detailed Engineering Specification and Drawings (Instrument Index, Instrument Location Plans, Cable Schedules, Installation Details (Mechanical, Electrical, Pneumatic, Support), Cable Tray/Conduit Routing Plans)
  • Experience Designing controls systems for electrically classified areas
  • Incorporate applicable electrical classification codes' requirements and customer requirements to produce a complete technical definition of PLC, DCS's and JB Panels.
  • Assumes the secondary/primary liaison role with various outside suppliers and customers
  • Technically evaluate bids and participate in the supplier selection process
  • Review supplier designs against licensor requirements, code requirements, and customer requirements.
  • Coordinate with suppliers throughout the fabrication phase of the project.
  • Visit shops for kickoff meetings and critical inspections points (FAT's and I-FAT's)
  • Work closely with all members of the project team including quality assurance, piping, instrument, process, and structural designers, purchasing personnel, and project managers to meet project requirements for control equipment.
  • Knowledge of applicable NEC, IEC, ATEX, IECEX Other Countries codes' requirements for control panels.
  • Knowledge of ISA standards and its equivalent in other countries/regions
