Specimen Control and Receiving Technician Lead (Finance)



Work Schedule :

100% FTE, day shift. Monday - Friday 8:30AM - 5:00PM, no weekends or holidays. Additional components of compensation may include: overtime. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Pay :

  • You may be eligible for up to a $2,500 sign-on bonus.

We are seeking a Specimen Control and Receiving Tech Lead in Cytology, Support Services to:

  • Receive specimens and research kits into the laboratory, check for correct labeling, enter tests into Laboratory Information System, process specimens, and load them onto instruments or direct to appropriate work station, technologist, or storage area.
  • Be responsible for daily checklist duties which may include basic instrument maintenance and clerical duties.
  • Participate in the training of laboratory staff.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent Required
  • Some post-secondary education in a healthcare or a related science field that may include course work in Medical Laboratory Technician, Cytotechnologist, Histotechnician or Medical Laboratory Scientist degree/certification Preferred

Work Experience

  • 1 year healthcare or laboratory related work experience Required
  • 2 years of laboratory experience Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

  • Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) certification (American Society for Clinical Pathology) or other related certification Preferred
