Position Title: Industrial Painter
Reports To: Director of Operations
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Industrial Painter to join our team in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, motivated, and team-focused individual who takes pride in their work and wants to be part of something bigger. You'll work on mission-critical systems that support the U.S. Navy and allied defense forces, making this more than just a job, it's a meaningful way to give back.

This is a hands-on opportunity with excellent growth potential in a rapidly expanding defense contractor environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleans parts manually or using steam or chemicals before painting or processing.
  • Set up, maintain, and operate equipment including HVLP paint guns (gravity fed and pressure fed), paint mixers, mil thickness gauges, and other general shop tools.
  • Mix and apply various topcoats within thickness requirements (polyurethanes, epoxy, lacquers, clears — gloss, semi-gloss, and flat).
  • Identify and implement practices to improve production standards (paint yield, efficiency, rework, etc.).
  • Clean, mask, and paint parts per internal/customer specifications and verbal instructions.
  • Monitor inventory levels of paint, primer, solvents, PPE, and other supplies.
  • Understand and properly mix coating materials, primers, and chemicals per defense coating standards.
  • Accurately complete all work order documentation and equipment maintenance records.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, including paint booth and equipment.
  • Support scheduling and planning of customer orders.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and technical documents.
  • Experience with MIL-SPECs (military specifications) is highly preferred.
  • U.S. Citizenship required (due to NOFORN clearance requirements).
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
  • Forklift training certification or ability to obtain.
  • Ability to perform shop math and read measurements.
  • Must be clean-shaven for proper respirator fit when painting or blasting.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and perform physical tasks such as kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
