Salary: $18.75 per hour for 7 weeks (June 2nd-July 18th)

Summer Program Houston PREP Peer Assistant

Requirements:
Houston PREP is designed to engage middle and high school students in STEM fields, to inspire creativity, to encourage interactive learning, to foster positive thinking.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of Science, Technology, Mathematics fields
• Candidates must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse university community
• Dependable, professional, and positive responsibilities
• Able to guide and assist middle/high school students in a classroom setting

Required Qualifications

• Two (2) years of college courses in Mathematics or Computer Science

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Computer Science or a related field
